This post was written by Michelle, who was featured on the last post on The Vogue Diet. Check it out ! After reading this, I MUST HAVE an item with a leather accent. Must.
A little leather. A lot of compliments.
I was adamant that I needed my own must-have leather accent item.
On my way into work one day, I spotted the perfect shirt at Woolworths. It was black, with leather sleeves and a chunky silver zip down the back.
I took it home, tried it on and felt like an idiot.
Later that week I returned it.
Soon, I realised I had made a terrible mistake and went back to the Tyger Vally store where I had returned it to. No luck.
I checked the Adderley Street, Canal Walk, Waterfront, N1 City and Cape Gate stores. No luck.
The shirt was online, and marked down, but with the hefty R65 delivery fee it was just not worth it.
A couple weeks later I found myself at Cavendish. Despondent about my lack of luck, I checked the Studio W rails, hoping to see a leather sleeve.
Suddenly, I spotted it.
Size 18, 16, 14 ... I started to lose hope.
Then there it was, in the corner, hiding. Size 10 in all its leather accent glory.
I grabbed it and ran to the till and screamed in delight as it was scanned at a majorly discounted price.
Turned out, I had saved money but not a lot of heartache.
My tragedy turned into happy story ended the very next day when I wore it out proudly, earning scores of compliments.
