Belieb That!

Click "read more" to continue reading this post, outfit details and for more pics.

On the outside it's rock star chic -- a leather jacket over a denim shirt, jeans, boots and a dash of femininity in the form of a statement necklace. "Wow, this would've been the perfect outfit for the Bon Jovi concert last night," I think.

But then my colleague, Michelle, the wearer of said outfit, rips her shirt open. I would say "unexpectedly" because it's 9.30am and we all just got to the office, but is it really? I'd like to think each one of my colleagues has a streak of crazy in them. And I like it.

But back to the point... She rips her shirt open! Underneath is a T-shirt bearing the name and face of a pop star many love and many, many others love to hate: Justin Bieber.

Now, this; this is unexpected.

I wouldn't think of Mich as a Bieber fan. If I think of a JB fan, the image of a 14-year-old girl in hysterics is the first thing that comes to mind. But Bieber fever, it seems, spread across Cape Town like wildfire before his concert last week and it seems Mich just couldn't fight off the fever.

She had great feedback about the concert, so I have to hand it to Bieber. I also love the idea of getting a T-shirt as a memento of the great times had at a concert. Sometimes I wish my mom had a Beatles or Queen T-shirt to hand down to me, but knowing her, I'm more likely to get a Neil Diamond shirt. Not cool.

I've collected a few of my own, though, and I think there's yet a T-shirt that could sell post-Justin Bieber concert: "I survived Bieber fever!"

By the way, Michelle will be submitting a guest post (hopefully the first of quite a few) this week, so watch this space!

Michelle's outfit details:

Bieber T-shirt: Pick n Pay/ Handbag: China Doll/ Necklace: Diva/ Jacket, boots and denim shirt: Woolworths (Mich, like I am, is a self-confessed Woolies addict).
